NORTO
Design products developed by VTI
Norto is VTI's own product line within design and interior in solid, finger-jointed wood.
The collection has been developed based on our production expertise and our ambition to exploit the full potential of wood – both functionally, aesthetically, and in terms of materials.
Norto combines Nordic design tradition with industrial precision and responsible use of materials.
When production expertise becomes design
Norto stems directly from VTI's core business: processing solid wood.
Our production process regularly generates smaller dimensions and offcuts that still have high quality and strength. Instead of downgrading the material, we developed a product line where the wood's structure and finger joints become an active part of the visual expression.
The result is design products where:
-
The construction is visible
-
The material is honest
-
The collections are part of the aesthetic
-
Resource utilization is high
Norto is thus both a design concept and a production strategy.
We believe that long-term partnerships deliver the best results for our customers.
Interior solutions in upcycled solid wood
Norto is VTI's product line of sustainable interior solutions for ceilings, walls, floors, and kitchen modules. The products are made from upcycled, certified wood from responsibly managed forests in Northern Europe and developed with a focus on high material quality and resource optimization.
Norto creates interior solutions that give rooms a striking visual expression and a natural, warm atmosphere. The structure and joints of the wood are an active part of the design and emphasize the authenticity of the material.
The range includes:
-
Interior wood paneling for ceilings and walls
-
Flooring solutions
-
Kitchen modules and wood-based interior design elements
The solutions are used in private homes, commercial buildings, and public projects.
The products are developed based on Nordic design principles, solid craftsmanship traditions, and industrial production strength. All wood interiors are produced in Denmark and are based on pine, where variations in design and surface treatment create different architectural expressions.
The products are named after Danish surnames – a reference to Danish production and the employees behind it.

Environment, responsibility, and resource optimization
Sustainability is an integral part of Norto – and stems from the production philosophy that characterizes VTI.
The product line is based on optimal utilization of raw wood and refinement of residual materials from the production of glued wood, furniture, and window components. Wood that is sorted out due to knots or structural variations—but still meets high quality standards—is given a new function and value through Norto.
This approach reduces resource waste and increases material efficiency without compromising quality, strength, or durability.
The raw wood comes from certified coniferous forests in Northern Europe, and all Norto products are made from FSC®-certified wood. The certification ensures responsible forestry, where no more trees are felled than the forest can reproduce, while respecting biodiversity and proper working conditions.
Upcycling is therefore not a marketing angle, but a production principle. The wood retains its quality and, through design and processing, is given a new use in residential, commercial, and project construction.
With Norto, responsible use of materials is translated into concrete products with a long service life and documented origin.
